About the event

Since 1971, ETA Creative Arts Foundation has operated right here in our community on Chicago’s South Side, building one of the longest‑running Black theatre institutions in the nation. For more than fifty years, ETA has showcased the stories, struggles, and brilliance of Black life while training generations of artists through acting classes, youth workshops, and summer camps that strengthen confidence and cultural identity.

ETA isn’t just a theatre—it’s a community institution that has kept Black creativity alive, created local jobs, and provided safe, enriching spaces for our children. Supporting ETA is exactly where we should be spending our dollars. Every ticket purchased, every class attended, and every child enrolled in a summer program keeps our resources circulating in the neighborhood and helps sustain a legacy built for us, by us.
